Pakistan Christian Congress have reservations on data of Christian voters

Karachi: March 17, 2013. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC expressed reservations on data issued by government on PCC demand of March 12, 2013, and complete silence on Article 226 of Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan which allows only Secret Ballot instead of Selection on 10 reserved seats for minorities in National Assembly and 21 seats of provincial assemblies by Muslim political parties.

It is said that there are 2,770,051 total registered votes of Christians, Hindus, Qadianis, Sikhs, Parsis, Buddhists and Jews in Pakistan.

It is surprising that Christian remained on number one minority in Pakistan till 1981 census while census of 1998 were rejected and census of 2011 was delayed.

Dr. Nazir Bhatti said "When there was no reliable census in Pakistan then how Christians can slip to number 2 in population among religious minorities in Pakistan and Hindus can jump up to number one?"

According to registered voters database, there are 760,171 Hindu male voters and 643,838 female voters, followed by Christians: 711,013 male and 527,218 female voters while number of Qadianis is 58,160 male and 57,806 female voters, Sikhs 3,103 male and 2,831 female voters, Parsis 1,735 male and 1,915 female voters, Buddhists 763 male and 689 female voters while lastly Jews are 382 male and 427 female voters.

Nazir Bhatti said that there were no registered votes of Jews in voterlist of 1997 election nor in national general elections of 2002, then how jews votes appear in data of elections 2013. As I knew there was one one Jew in Karachi in 1997, named Joseph Jew but he failed to register his vote as Jew in registered voters list. There was an other Jew woman who was living in Ranchore Lines Karachi Jewish Temple but she died in 1984 and Muslim politicians grab that Jewish Temple land and built a commercial plaza on it. It means that there are irregularties in voters lists.

There were thosands of Parsis living in Karachi city only but nor in any other city of Pakistan but migrated to other countries and only hundreds were registered voters in voters list of 1997, but in election 2013 voters list Parsis are added to thousands which also creat doubts among Christians that some fishy is going against their representation in Pakistan.

It is fact that Hindus were 20% of population of Pakistan and Christian 13% at time of formation of Pakistan in 1947. There was mass migration of Hindus to India after persecution by Muslim but Christians never migrated in such numbers to any country because Western Countries never accomodated them ever then why minorities are only 4% in 2013.

PCC Chief said " We have reservations on voters data issued by government of Pakistan and we reject it"

Dr. Nazir Bhatti said that silence of government of Pakistan on Article 226 of constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan is creating doubts that government of Pakistan is not sincere to elect true democratic parliament in Pakistan.
