Akbar Bugti will ever remain milestone for struggle of rights and democracy in Pakistan
Karachi: August 28, 2012. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC paid homage to Nawab Mohammad Akbar Khan Bugti on his sixth death anniversary and said that he will ever remain milestone for oppressed and persecuted nations who have been deprived of equal rights in Pakistan.
Nawab Akbar Bugti was martyred by Pakistan Army in an operation in Balochistan on August 26, 2006, when he have left home for mountains to press upon government of Pakistan to restore rights of Baloch and their due share in resources of state.
It is Baloch tradition that they climb to mountains or migrate to other places when their due rights are ignored then other Baloch approach these migrant and negotiate but instead of dialogue, military ruler Parvez Musharraf ordered to gun him down.
Nazir Bhatti said that Martyr Akbar Bugti is symbol of hope and success for millions of Pakistani Christians who are being oppressed and persecuted in Pakistan.

There is enforced conversion of Christian women to Islam, Churches are attacked and worshipers are sprayed bullets, pastors are gunned down, Christians are booked in blasphemy and killed in jails or courts, Christian life and property is not safe from Muslim mobs and Christians are not enjoy due share in resources of state while so-called Christian leaders are lined up for Selection in parliament for their vested interests on doors of Muslim political parties.
Nazir Bhatti said that Martyr Akbar Bugti was true legendry leader for democratic rights and democracy in Pakistan. |
