PCC appeals UN Secretary General to take notice of Pakistani Christian refugees in South and Eastern Asian countries

Karachi: November 12, 2013. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have expressed grave concern on un-necessary delay in processing of asylum cases of hundreds of Pakistani Christian refugees by UNHRC offices in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong who are waiting from years for decisions on their applications with their children and elders in miserable human conditions.

These Pakistani Christians in South and Eastern Asian countries were forced to migrate from Pakistan after victimization of blasphemy laws, attacks on their life and property by Muslim mobs, gang rape of Christian women by influential Muslims and on not securing justice from courts against Muslim culprits of violence against them.

The mass migration of Pakistani Christians started after Muslim mob attacks on Christian life and property in Gojra, korian village and Bahimnwali village in Punjab province of Pakistan in 2009, which expedited after rising cases of blasphemy law against innocent Christians in this province governed by right wing Islamist party Pakistan Muslim League PML (N).

There is every Christian in Punjab province of Pakistan in particular and from KPK, Sindh and Balochistan provinces of Pakistan in general who immediately wants to migrate from Pakistan after feeling unsafe but cannot migrate because he is so poor and unable to afford travelling funds to reach any foreign countries.

The Pakistani Christian who reached Sri Lanka, Thailand and Hong Kong expected that on humanity grounds their refugee status cases will be considered positively and they will reach in countries where they will be safe and enjoy equal human rights but met with unbelievable situation that even UNO was not sincere to rescue them.

Dr. Nazir S Bhatti said That Pakistani Christian waiting for decisions on their refugee status application in offices of UNHRC in Colombo, Bangkok and Hong Kong are suffering with hunger along with their elders and children while UN and other agencies are silent spectators.

Nazir Bhatti said that Western Foreign Missions in Pakistan are also always reluctant to issue visas to Christian victims which indicates that they have double standards on Human Rights violations because if a Muslim girl Malala Yousafzai is targeted by Talban then her voice is heard in White House, Buckingham Palace, House of Lords, EU offices and other International human Rights forums but when Christian girls are targeted by Talban in Peshawar Church then none of Western diplomat offers them even a chance of treatment in any hospitals in EU, Australia and North America when they were dying and we made frequent requests.

Pakistan Christian Congress PCC filed a petition in United Nations UN to grant Refugee Status to Pakistani Christians in 2009, on their genocide in Islamic Republic of Pakistan but same was opposed by establishment of Pakistan and their Christian tools.

PCC Chief appealed to Mr. Ban Ki Moon, Secretary General of UNO that cases of Pakistani Christians in Colombo, Bangkok and Hong Kong may be considered on priority for refugee status in consideration with lack of funds with applicants who are suffering hunger and inhuman livings with their elders and babies.

Nazir Bhatti also appealed to International Human Right organization to support Pakistani Christian refugee babies, children, women, men and elders with food and shelters in Colombo, Bangkok and Hong Kong.
