PCC vows to campaign for due basic equal rights of Pakistani Christians
Lahore: June 2, 2013. (PCP) The leaders of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC vowed to keep struggling to secure equal basic democratic of Christians in Pakistan as guaranteed in constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan. It was declared in a PCC conference in Best Western Hotel, Lahore, on May 31, 2013, which was attended by more than 50 delegates of Pakistan Christian Congress from 15 districts of Punjab that Selection on reserved seats for minorities in parliament in not acceptable to Pakistani Christian which have decreased their representation in democratic institutions.
The PCC moot paid homage to Mr. Ijaz Farhat Advocate who is new Chief Organizer of Pakistan Christian Christian Congress PCC while PCC delegates and Mr. Mushtaq Gill Advocate, President of PCC Lahore, welcomed Mr. Ijaz Farhat Advocate and honored him with garlands.
Newly nominated Chief Organizer of PCC Ijaz Farhat Advocate addressing the conference said that he will honor the confidence of PCC leadership laid down on him. He thanked PCC President Dr. Nazir S.Bhatti, PCC President of Candadian Chapter Mr. Raymond Wallace Durani, PCC Lahore President Sardar Mushtaq Gill advocate and Central Executive Council of PCC who nominated him as Chief Organizer of PCC.
Mr. Ijaz Farhat Advocate said that he would love to work with PCC as this is only political party which was and is representing the poor Christian nation of Pakistan in true meaning. He also added that with consultation of leaders of PCC we will form Central Committee to make PCC active in the whole country.
The PCC Chief Organizer urged unbiased census of Christian in Pakistan because the true and real number of Christians voters in Pakistan are not being shown in the record of NADRA.
Mr. Ijaz Farhat said that there should be units of PCC at grass root level such as from union councils to Tehsils and District to Division and Division to Province level. He told delegates that with the consultation of PCC leadership we would participate in the coming local Body Election in which PCC will actively participate and nominate its members from every area of the country.

Shahid Yousaf Gill President PCC Islamabad, addressed the conference and focused on the main issue that there should be election on minority reserved seats. He also agreed with the speech of Ijaz Farhat and announced his fully cooperation on behalf of PCC.
Albert Paul Khohkar, who is one of the pioneer member of PCC, addressed the conference and strongly demanded that PCC should work in practical not only through media coverage but also it should take stand and participate in Pakistani politics and will do something for the Poor Christians of Pakistan. He appreciated the efforts of Sardar Mushtaq Gill who struggled to arrange conference.
Shabir Patrass, President PCC Faisalbad, shared that we had many challenges specially the challenge of Membership process. He told when EU Election Observer Team met him they inquired how many members PCC had but his answer was satisfactory for them.
Ashknaz Khokhar President PCC Sahiwal, addressed and focused on the practically and active work of PCC. He shared that we had to fully participate in coming local body election and we need to show our strength at grass root level too.
Asif Munawar, President PCC Jhang, addressing the conference, showed his enthusiasm for PCC and asked for all leaders of PCC to show same enthusiasm for PCC activities for the Nation.
Zulifqar Gill, President PCC Kasur, in his speech, announced fully cooperation with PCC all leaders and agreed with Chief Organizer PCC Ijaz Farhat Advocate. He also shared that we had to start membership process and our strength by Participating in Local body Election.
Akram Waqar Gill also addressed and showed his good wishes for PCC and cooperation for its success in politics.
Ms Ruhama Shah, President PCC women Wing Punjab addressing the conference, focused on the confidence and trust among the PCC members. She added that we had to show unity because unity is the instrument by which we could resolve our many problems which we are facing now.
At the end of conference the open discussion session was started in which all participants actively took part and gave thier different ideas for membership of PCC and participation in coming local body Election. The discriminatory laws also became the subject of discussion.
All the participants were served with lunch arranged by PCC Lahore in Best Western Hotel Lahore.
