Christian’s boycott of elections can block conspiracy to impose Salafi Islam in Pakistan
Karachi: April 29, 2013. (PCP) The Central Executive Council of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC here in a meeting discussed situation of rising terrorist activities during elections in Sindh, KPK and Balochistan provinces of Pakistan. The leaders of PCC passed resolution condemning bomb blasts, killing of political activists, attacks on candidates of MQM, ANP and PPP in three provinces and to destroy election offices of particular political groups.
In a press note issued after PCC meeting, the decision to boycott election 2013 was termed as in national interests and to safe Pakistan of Quaid-e-Azam which is under threat by extremist Islamist of Salafist movement.
In a statement, Pakistan Christian Congress PCC President Dr. Nazir S Bhatti said that PCC had expressed grave concern on visit of Egyptian President Morsi to Pakistan before elections who leads Muslim brotherhood in Egypt and feared that his visit is part of conspiracy to impose Salafist Islam in Pakistan which was founded by Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah as liberal democratic state for Muslims.
Nazir Bhatti said “The Chief Justice of Pakistan Supreme Court of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Choudhary and other Justices of Supreme Court of Pakistan in their remarks on hearings of different cases and general and in a particular case of “Rinkle Kumari” Hindu Girls enforced conversion to Islam and selling to Muslim marriage that “Pakistan is founded for Islam and Islamic laws” clarified religious extremism intentions of Supreme Court judges”
The speeches of General Ashfaq Kiyani, Chief of Staff of Pakistan army, on different addresses in army celebrations that “Islam is Pakistan” will ever remain on record that how Pakistani establishment and Pakistani Judicial establishment are paving way for extremist Islam in Pakistan which may change face of liberal democratic Pakistan to be Salafist Islam.
Nazir Bhatti said “There is election 2013 in Punjab province of Pakistan where two Islamist parties Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz PML (N) and Pakistan Tehreek Insaf PTI led by Imran Khan are on run and provided full security to hold public gatherings and rallies while provinces of Sindh, KPK and Balochistan are facing bomb blast and offering funeral services of their workers which is very surprising situation”
Nazir Bhatti clarified that Christians have winning vote bank in 69 seats of National Assembly of Pakistan and their boycott to elections will block way of PML (N) and PTI to come in power and conspiracy to impose Salafist Islam in Pakistan.
“Nawaz Sharif is campaigning in Punjab for imposition of Islam of Muslim brotherhood of Egypt and Turkey while Imran Khan is declaring changed Pakistan after 11 May 2013, to Salafist Islam” added Nazir Bhatti
Pakistan Christian Congress PCC chief assured that religious minorities can play their positive role to block imposition of Islam of Muslim Brotherhood and Salafist Islam through these Elections 2013, with forceful boycott of elections.
Dr. Nazir S Bhatti said that Pakistan Christian Congress PCC is true voice of 20 million Pakistani Christians and neither a tool of any Muslim political party nor agent of establishment like other Christian groups in Pakistan which bargain on principal for vested interests and PCC vows to support ever force which want Pakistan to be Pakistan of Quaid-e-Azam
