Pakistan Christian Congress condemn court activism against MQM

Karachi: December 16, 2012. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC expressed grave concern on rising Supreme Court of Pakistan activism which is damaging integrity of other institutions of Pakistan.

Dr. Nazir Bhatti in a statement said that it seems that there is no writ of executives and administration of Pakistan and Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan is President of Pakistan, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Speaker of National Assembly of Pakistan, Chairman of Senate of Pakistan, Chairman NAB, Chief Election Commissioner of Pakistan, Chief of Pakistan Armed Forces, Member of National Assembly of Pakistan, Member of Senate of Pakistan and even a Councilor of Union Committee of any local government as he is passing orders on issues which are never presented before him for any interpretation or judgment.

PCC Chief said that there is murder of minority community members and attack of places of worshipers of religious communities but SCP has never taken suo-Mutto notice on such incidents.

Nazir Bhatti said that Pakistani Hindu community is staging protests in front of UN offices at New Delhi and demanding revoke of membership of Pakistan from United Nation’s General Assembly on allegation of genocide of religious minorities which is damaging image of Pakistan on international forums in wake of religious freedom issues.

There is mass exodus of Pakistani Hindus to India after decision of Supreme Court of Pakistan on Rinkle Kumari and other Hindu girls enforced conversion to Islam and sell-out marriages with influential Muslim mens in Sindh.

There is case of Election System for minorities pending for hearing since 2010, appeal of Asia Bibi against her death sentence to death on accusation of blasphemy of other hundreds of constitutional petitions of minorities but higher courts of Pakistan have never bothered to hear it.

Commenting on Contempt of Court Notice to Chief of MQM, Mr. Altaf Hussain, the PCC chief said that Election Commission of Pakistan is an independent institution of Pakistan and Chief Election Commissioner is duly appointed with consensus of all democratic stake holders of Pakistan but Supreme Court Judges have tried to act as Chief Election Commissioners with comments turning in a decree about delimitation of election constituencies of Karachi city.

The reaction of MQM on SCP orders of delimitation on election constituencies was just in light of Peoples Representation of 1976 of Pakistan, in which delimitation are linked with Census but issuance of Contempt Notice to MQM Chief seems worst scenario of jurisdiction of Election Commission of Pakistan.

Nazir Bhatti said “MQM is representative of poor and middle class in democratic institutions of Pakistan and feudal lord class conspiring to crush it on shoulders of Judges of Pakistan”

“We support stand of MQM that Census may be conducted and delimitation of all constituencies of Pakistan enforced instead of Karachi city only” said Nazir Bhatti

Nazir Bhatti demanded Supreme Court of Pakistan to withdraw Contempt Notice on MQM Chief Altaf Hussain and act accordingly with Constitution of Pakistan powers entitled to judiciary instead of ruling Pakistan from chairs of Justice.
